Subject: Update on Steve

Last night was kind of rough on him. He had a few hard bladder spasms but was able to get comfortable in his recliner and get some sleep. Today was better. Spasms weren’t as hard or as long lasting. He spent most of the day in his chair resting. His spirits are still good and is looking forward to Tuesday to get the catheter out. Each day seems better. Will keep you all posted when I can. I am going to try to cut the grass this weekend with the help of Amiee and James. It will give Steve something to watch out the window. Lol

Subject: We are home

Well, we are home. Tests show there is still cancer in Steve’s bladder. The dr. removed three spots today and he feels confident that it is still in the early stage. We will know more Tuesday.  We will also schedule more treatments then. In the meantime Steve is home, in good spirits and still toting his little pee purse.lol. They will remove that Tuesday. Thank you all for your prayers.

Dad is having his biopsy in Lake Charles today. We’re hoping everything comes back clean.

8:30 am

They took Dad back to get him ready.

9:54 am

They just rolled Dad into surgery.

11:09 am

Well Dad is out of surgery now.  They found 4 spots of cancer, the Dr thinks they are low grade but will get results Tuesday. They put a stint in the left kidney because it’s still not functioning correctly. So right now the plan is another 6 weeks of immunotherapy followed by a 2 week break then another biopsy. He’s suppose to come home today, but is currently in recovery.

We did pre admit today. Hospital wanted $250 up front for Steve’s surgery. I Begged them to take my last $20 and told them I would try to bring more on Thursday. Steve doesn’t get paid again until July 21^st. They said to do what I can. For donations and or updates, you have my address and phone number or go to therichardclan.com
