Blessing of the day…
So we got up this morning bright and early and left at 4:30 am to head to Alexandria for Dad’s surgery. His admit time was 7 am. It was pouring! I mean pouring when we got up and oured almost the whole way, which wouldn’t be too bad except that the AC in our van went capoot and would NOT work at all so we fought the foggy windows the whole way.
They admitted Dad at 7 am and they took him back at 10 am. Around 11:30 Dr. Dowd came out and said that everything went great. He had his nerve bundles around L4/L5/S1 Very tightly pinched, but that’s corrected now. It will take time for all the nerves to come back, but they have the room to now so that’s good. Dad was in recovery until about 3pm when they finally got a room for him.

Then we started the HOT drive back to Jennings. We had to drive the whole way with our windows down to try to cool the kids off because poor things were sweating.
We alos heard from our agent and the bank refused our bid, so we’re heading there tomorrow to do another one.
But at least everything went great with Dad and we’re praying for a speedy recovery!
